The Dallas Zoo announces its new Zoo Tunes Concert Series, produced in partnership with Kessler Entertainment Group. The first show on Saturday, August 11, features The King Bucks, hitting the stage at 8 p.m. The opening band kicks off the concert at 7 p.m. with a special SOAR, A Festival of Flight bird show at 6:30 p.m. The King Bucks’ music forges a unique union between traditional country, boogie, rockabilly, and soul.
Sections of ZooNorth will be open throughout the evening, including animal exhibits such as the new Koala Walkabout presented by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Wings of Wonder, Primate Place, the Herpetarium, and Bug U!.
With a free bounce house, $5 camel rides, and $2 Endangered Species Carousel rides, Zoo Tunes is an evening full of entertainment for the whole family. Lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers are permitted. Festival food as well as beer and wine will be available for purchase; no outside alcohol will be allowed.
Advance tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children (ages 3-11) and day-of tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children. Parking is $5 per vehicle.
