Sheena: Queen of the Jungle
August 19, 2012
Stage Adaptation by Johnny Simons from “Golden Age Sheena.” Music by Michael H. Price.
From the imaginations of Will Eisner and Jerry Iger swings Sheena, from the East of Timbuktu to the West of the politically-incorrect - arguably comics' first heroine - cold-blooded, practical, awesome and relentless - nothing can stop her.
Due to skimpy costumes, we are rating this show PG-13.
The Backyard is the place to be before and after the play. Being an outdoor theatre, we have to wait for it to get dark before the plays can begin. This means that during June, July and August the plays start at 9 PM while in September and October they begin at 8:15 PM. So what do you do if you arrive when the gates open? You sit in the Backyard and listen to music from local musicians who perform each night before and after the play. So, when the play is done, the evening is far from over. Come on back to the Backyard and listen to more music, eat and enjoy your favorite beer or wine and just have fun.
