Emily Elbert / Nadia Washington / Allie Farris
December 28, 2012
Before Coppell native Emily Elbert heads west for tours of California and Southeast Asia, she’ll perform a hometown show at The Kessler Theater on Friday, December 28. Along with her original music, the 24-year-old Brooklyn-based musician will perform some of the crowd-pleasing cover songs she’s recording for a new album to be released this summer.
Special guest at the show will be Nadia Washington, a graduate of Booker T. Washington and Emily’s fellow Berklee College of Music graduate. The Boston Globe described Nadia as “a tremendously soulful singer and crack arranger.” Opening the show will be singer/songwriter Allie Farris, who grew up in Lewisville and is now based in Nashville, about whom Maverick Magazine recently wrote, “Farris delivers tour de force vocals.”
