Oak Cliff: In Transit seeks to celebrate and question the cultural transitions and traditions Oak Cliff continues to make. The Oak Cliff: In Transit exhibition is an open forum ripe for discussion taking place at the Oak Cliff Culture Center beginning July 14th, 2012 from 7-10 p.m. The revitalization and growth is apparent as you drive through the community. OC:IT’s objective is to transfer the energy and spirit of the people onto the canvas. Three local artists - Mathew Barnes, Rosie Lee, and Orlando Sanchez-Lugo - in three very different disciplines create a visual chronicle of this journey. Each work explores a distinct segment of the variety of lives deeply woven into this community and, moreover, deeply affected by the changes taking place.
Opening Reception on Saturday, July 14th from 7PM - 10PM. Music by JT Donaldson. Free and open to the public.
