Asian Film Festival of Dallas is proud to present a selection of high school and college student short films from across the region. Audience members may vote for their favorite films, and the film department of the winning school will receive a cash prize from AFFD.
JUST A NOTE – School: Garland High School – Director: Meghan Danlke – Run time: 7:00 min. An uncommon love story containing a broken heart, a balloon, some magic, and a note.
IMPERFECTIONS - School: UT Austin – Director: Ladan Ghannadpour – Run time: 7:00 min. A pimple becomes a problem for more than a face
THE BINDER - School: Garland High School – Director: Jessica Rahmoune – Run time: 1:50 min. In this animation, drawings come to life.

LEAKS - School: Lincoln High School – Director: Adam Kameron Wigfall – Run time: 3:50 min. A secret US government agency investigates into the matter of an American defector and a missing file.
ONE DARK NIGHT - School: Garland High School – Director: Riley Byrne – Run time: 5:10 min. A man comes home to find his house broken into and searches for the culprit.

COLOR BLIND - School: Garland High School – Director: Robyn Hedke – Run time: 7:00 min. Jason is a high school kid who looks down on anyone of a different race; but after getting enrolled in a racial acceptance course, his attitude is about to change.
THE SKYLINE REPEATS - School: Garland High School – Director: Anna Williamson – Run time: 3:54. A girl is murdered by a close friend and she is remembered.
ESCAPE – School: UT Austin – Director: Kennedy J. Baruch – Run time: 9:33. Fifth-grade girl Danni has a miserable life and her only option is to escape into her video game.
