Summer in Provence Iced Tea Lunch

A delightful and refreshing summertime tour of France will take place at Lavendou Bistro Provençal on Saturday, June 23, with a lunch featuring a selection of the cheeses of France, recipes made with French cheeses and pairings with fine iced teas that celebrate summer.

Along with a special menu from Lavendou Chef and Owner Pascal Cayet that celebrates the key ingredients of cheeses of all regions of France, the lunch event will include a program presented by Dallas-based tea importer The Cultured Cup and Dallas-based cheese shop Scardello Artisan Cheese.

Kyle Stewart, co-owner and co-founder of The Cultured Cup, Certified Tea Specialist and internationally acclaimed expert authority, will present a program that educates everyone on the fine points and flavors of fine teas and how they can be enjoyed with fine cheeses - along with the similarities of tea pairings to those of wine with cheese.

Rich Rogers, owner and cheesemonger of Scardello Artisan Cheese, will also present on the cheeses of France, what makes each distinctive, and how pairings with tea provide a whole new appreciation for the amazing culinary adventures in the great traditions of tea and cheese.

Summer-Time Entertaining with French Cheese and Iced Tea is a three-course luncheon, is $40 per person and begins at noon on Saturday, June 23. Contact Lavendou at 972-248-1911 or provencial@aol.com to make plans to attend.
