Veterans Tribute Celebration

Join us in Downtown Garland for the 12th Annual City of Garland Veterans Tribute Celebration. The Plaza Theatre will show two free war movies, with popcorn and drinks available. Military memorabilia will be on display on the square, along with vendors and various complimentary food and coupons for the downtown restaurants.
2:00pm - "Pork Chop Hill" This movie tells the story of one of the major battles of the Korean War. Soldiers are ordered to launch an attack as negotiations are under way to bring the conflict to an end.
5:00pm - "The Dirty Dozen" This movie follows a US Army Major assigned to train and lead a dozen convicted murderers on a mission for the mass assassination of German officers on the eve of D-Day in World War II.
