America's Parking Lot - A hit at DIFF 2012, AMERICA’S PARKING LOT, follows two die-hard Dallas Cowboys fans as they come to grips with the the team’s new venue and the ever-increasing costs of attending games. Director Johnny Mars shows how the common fan is shouldered aside in favor of fans with deeper pockets, even at a partially publicly funded stadium.
Jonny Mars is a producer, actor and writer. He recently produced the TEXAS MEETS TILLAMOOK campaign and starred in the award-winning shorts HELLION, which is also a DIFF 2012 selection, and WUSS, which screened at DIFF 2011. Mars also co-starred, co-produced and co-scored THE HAPPY POET. AMERICA’S PARKING LOT marks his directorial debut.
