The lives of two American Marines and an Iraqi translator are forever changed by an encounter with a quick-witted tiger who haunts the streets of war-torn Baghdad attempting to find meaning, forgiveness and redemption amidst the city's ruins. Rajiv Joseph's groundbreaking new American play explores both the power and perils of human nature. Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo was a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize and ran on Broadway in a limited engagement in 2011 with Robin Williams starring.

damn near died in the stampede to leave the theater during imtermission, very many people upset about the language and sexual references content. A few threats / promises to never return were heard. Funny how a playwright has to use variations of the "F" work about 100 times in the first act, can't they use their eduation and intelignece to get the point across without freaking out an audience containing many senior citizens, IMO not one of jack's better ideas to stage this. 136 were there for the first act, it would be interesting to know how many were there for the second. I among many others left in disgust not an enjoyable experience. Other theaters will get my business

I went to yesterday's matinee and also left during intermission. While the language was raw, I feel it was appropriate for the characters - young marines in the middle of a war that to some appear to be an extension of a video game. I also thought the actors did a great job in conveying the horror and confusion of war.

I appreciate Theater Three for bringing intelligent and thought-provoking theater to North Texas, and this play is no exception, but the overall story was so brutal and horrific that I couldn't stay for Act Two. I was completely against this war and have seen enough pointless violence on the nightly news, that I don't need to watch it for education or "entertainment." However I do believe that every politician and military leader in a position to send soldiers to war should be forced to watch it all the way through
