July 4, 2013
500 Chisenhall Park Lane , Burleson, TX
The day’s celebration starts at 9 a.m. on July 4 with the Burleson Lions Club’s annual parade. The theme is “Celebrating Our Military.” The parade route winds from Irene Street to Gregory, Johnson, Ellison, Main, Bufford, Warren, Gregory, and back to Irene. The City of Burleson is a Gold Sponsor for the parade. Categories include vehicles, businesses, individuals, sports, equestrian, motorcycles, church and military.
Gates to Chisenhall Park open at 5 p.m. The Spazmatics will be set up in the field just to the right of the arched entrance to the sports complex starting at 7:30 p.m. They will play until the lights go down to signal the start of the fireworks show, after 9:20 p.m. There will be lots of “oohs” and “ahhs” when the professionals shoot off traditional and low aerial fireworks, all choreographed to music.
Patrons may sit on the field surrounding the stage, in the bleachers and on most of the fields throughout the park. The concession stand will be open but patrons may also bring a picnic and beverages. No alcohol, glass bottles, pets, tents or canopies are permitted in the park. Fireworks, including sparklers, are also not permitted.
