Embarking on the fall season with its 17th annual Dallas Contemporary Legends artist, Dallas Contemporary proudly presents the works of noted artist Vernon Fisher. As an artist balancing between image and text, Fisher's narrative paintings always give the viewer much to consider. Brazenly painted scenes, counterbalanced by excerpted stories, show Fisher's full-blown imagination. Images and stories present everything from familiar cartoons to war-torn blasts, and 50s family settings to moon landings.
