“States of Exception” features the work of the Rotterdam architecture and design firms, Atelier Van Lieshout and MVRDV; Amsterdam arts think tank, Dadara; and Denton artist Angel Cabrales. “States of Exception” explores the writings of Italian philosopher Giorgio with artwork showing prison interrogations, torture sessions and slaughter houses. A large prison cell, an installation of hazmat suits, a video of a pig abattoir in sky scrapers and a sculpture of a bird resembling a bomb grace the premises of Centraltrak. This exhibition was made possible by the Tanya Bonakdar Gallery in Manhattan, Atelier Van Lieshout and MVRDV and The Why Factory at the Technical University of Delft.
