Santiago Calatrava: The Making of Wave
Next date:
December 3
Start date: Friday, October 30, 2009
Event is ongoing: Until Sunday, February 21, 2010
Inspired by the form of a DNA double helix, Calatrava created a number of preparatory drawings and watercolors of Wave from different angles, some of which are in the holdings of the Meadows Museum and will be featured in the exhibition. Alongside this evidence of the creative process underlying the construction of Wave, the exhibition also will highlight, through photographs and other materials, the more practical details of the sculpture’s creation and installation.
