Start date: Friday, April 20, 2012
End Date: Monday, June 25, 2012

With the persistence of Jim Crow laws and other discriminatory practices throughout the early part of the twentieth century, these medical pioneers faced many obstacles but also found opportunities to improve the lives of their families, their patients, and their community. Their history is Fort Worth’s forgotten history. These doctors made dramatic changes in the practice of medicine, and a nation’s long–awaited fulfillment of its promise of equality and freedom for all. The exhibit shares many stories, including those of Dr. Riley Ransom, Dr. C. W. Flint, Dr. George Munchus, Dr. Elisha P. Murchinson, and many others that paved the way for so many African American doctors. On exhibit in the West Wing from April 20 to June 25.

Freddy's Frozen Custard

I asked what a Steakburger is and the friendly staff stated "it is a very high grade of lean beef that is hand-crafted" thin on the edges and thicker in the middle. This makes for carmelization on the edges and a juicy center. The Hawaiian is a must eat on the custard menu. I will definitely be bringing my friends!
