Sketches from a Solo by Bobby Chitwood
Start date: Saturday, June 2, 2012
End Date: Friday, June 29, 2012
In this show, Chitwood exposes the method he uses to create his paintings of Jazz greats in exacting detail. From idea to finished work, from sketch to final glaze, he allows the viewer to become a part of the creative process. Rich colors, memorable expressions and music - all elements flow together to leave the viewer with an impression forever linked through lyricism and visual imagery. Immersed in the conversation that happens between jazz performers, these works of art speak through stylized instruments. Listen carefully, you might just see a masterpiece.
