Holiday at the Arboretum 2013
featuring Angels in DeGolyer
Start date: Friday, November 29, 2013
End Date: Tuesday, December 31, 2013
Angels in DeGolyer: Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
This holiday season, over 500 angels will grace the halls of the beautiful DeGolyer Mansion. The 2013 collection is courtesy of the Dallas Pi Beta Phi Alumnae, and will be elegantly curated with inspiration from the Annual Christmas Tree and the Neapolitan Baroque Crèche, both on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Visits with Santa: Open through Christmas from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, plus Friday, November 29
Give your kids a chance to sit on Santa's knee and go over their Christmas lists before the holidays. A visit with Santa also makes for a great photo opportunity and usually ends with free candy canes and other goodies. There will not be a professional photographer present so be sure to bring your camera.
Live reindeer: Open through Christmas from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays
Meet one of Santa's reindeer as they take turns visiting the Arboretum each week. One of Santa's trusty pals will be available on weekends.
Meet Frosty and Rudolph: Open through Christmas from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays
Frosty and Rudolph will join the fun at the Arboretum this holiday season. These costumed characters will be available on weekends to visit with children and pose for pictures. Don't forget to bring your camera to capture these festive moments.
