Description
“Sacred Places” is a collection of my most recent artworks, all of which are landscape paintings. Although, some of the paintings were executed in the studio from photos, field sketches, and memory, many of these painting were produced on location, by working “en plein air”. “Plein air” is the French term meaning “open air”. This expression refers to works that have been painted out of doors, in the open air, in front of the subject.
All of these landscapes are sacred places to me, as the name “Sacred Places” implies. By visiting these places, I am spiritually renewed. These places reinforce my faith as I remember God’s uniqueness and power by studying His creation. --Lynda Conley
