Space50: A Celebration of 50 Years of Space Flight
Start date: Thursday, September 13, 2007
Event is ongoing: Until Sunday, November 11, 2007
On October 4, 1957, the former Soviet Union launched the world’s first artificial satellite, which they called Sputnik, and the American reaction to that event generated a technology explosion that would launch the most phenomenal adventure in human history. The Frontiers of Flight Museum celebrates this significant milestone of flight history with SPACE50, our celebration of fifty years of space flight, featuring family activities, astronaut appearances, new exhibits, and our first-ever film festival.
Sorry, this event ended on Sunday, November 11, 2007.
