Description

Wendell Earl Gorden – works mainly in black and white as well as color photography. He creates visual images with the assistance of cameras, computers, watercolors and oils. Gorden counts Gordon Parks, Chester Higgins, Alfred Stieglitz and Arthello Beck as a few of his inspirations. His work has been exhibited at Arlington Museum of Art, African American Museum of Dallas, Dallas Museum of Art and throughout North Texas.

Carl N. Sidle – realizes that everyone has a story and that history is recorded with every snap of the shutter. Inspiration comes to Sidle from the works of Ansel Adams, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eugene Smith and locals, Arthello Beck Jr., Marion Butts and Ed White. His work can be viewed at the Columbia Fire House in Dallas. He is a featured photographer in the book Portraits of Community: African American Photography in Texas by Alan Govenar.
