Description
All techniques of stone carving and sculpting will be covered in this course. Class covers the proper use of hand tools, diamond grinders, and pneumatic tools. Finishing and polishing techniques will also be discussed. Beginning and experienced artists interested in figurative as well as abstract forms learn to translate their ideas into stone. Students learn to move from the technical, thinking aspect of being a stone carver, to the non-thinking, creative aspect of becoming a sculptor.
$165 Members ($195 Non-Members) $15 Materials Fee.
