Description

Interruptions is a collaboration between John Painter and Tracy Silverberg, Painter’s late life- partner. Their mission in this project is to be provocative about HIV/AIDS issues, to engage emotions and compassion in everyone who will listen and see.

Painter abstracted the images from the original photographs to create paintings based on the raw emotion and traumatic events of the year of Tracy’s death. The emotionally charged work began as a narrative and continues today. This exhibition contains photography, paintings and collages based on the original collaborative photographs.

Parental discretion advised.
