Description
The world of Angels in America, Tony Kushner’s world, is in dire need of reform. It is a world out of balance. The characters live desperate lives. Struggling with personal crisis, they are estranged from support from members of family and faith. AIA is a Greek tragedy of epic proportion. The Fort Worth Opera's production of the opera version of this work calls our attention to the ongoing process of restructuring and reconciliation within our society and within ourselves. The millennium has indeed come, but Tony Kushner’s new order has yet to be realized. Hope is still held for a world where all humanity is accepted and accepting. Short of divine intervention.
Restructuring Reality is a collection of abstract images that relate to the human form. Created in exotic woods, bronze and stone, most images are inspired by religious and mythological symbology ranging from Old Testament/Torah to Classical Greek to Futurist (post-industrial).
