Description

Michael Ledoux is a self taught mixed media artist whose works revel with color. His pieces are loaded with deep texture, pulsing with sculptural qualities. An abstract expressionist, his sense of color and balance and a tendency to stack layers of resin on board in vivid color, make his work optimistic and unique. What gives his work an exciting edge is his fascination with process. Ledoux's love affair with technique and materials makes his oeuvre quite varied; his resin paintings fold in relief and depth, while in other pieces he covers area in misty, lustrous tones. Mixing pure pigments and inks to tint and color creates an intermingling of painting and casting. Ledoux began showing his artwork in 1995. Since then, he has continued to push his art by studying and working in a number of art styles. Ledoux has exhibited in Texas, Los Angeles, and New York. Michael lives and works in his Dallas, Texas studio.

Shane Pennington is a Dallas artist who works with many different types of media. From large expressionistic acrylic on canvas paintings, to video projected onto paintings, to sculpture, to photography mixed with installation, Shane Pennington is a man of many talents. From 1971 to 1981, Shane studied under Artist Virgie Cornelius, founder of the Llano Art Guild and received a B.B.A. MIS from Texas Tech University. Shane has participated in many group and solo exhibitions all over the world including Texas, Colorado, Georgia and Australia. His works are part of many corporate and private collections in Texas, New York, Colorado, Ohio, Australia, and France. His paintings were featured in the country music video Put Your Best Dress On by Steve Holy. Shane has also many supported charities through art including AIDS Interfaith, the Dallas Museum of Arts, the SPCA, the Human Rights Campaign, and the North Texas Special Olympics.
