Description
This exhibition is a collection of prints, mixed media and paintings that question cultural perceptions and touch on issues prevalent in today's immigration debate.
The vivid images featured in this collection establish a link between cultural beliefs and the contemporary reality of the immigrant community. Through appropriation of mythological stories entwined with contemporary Mexican concerns, Mr. Saenz seeks to empower the viewer with knowledge of the issues that have led to what he considers "the loss of culture, identity and the fragmentation of disenfranchised immigrants."
