Description

Lisa Nersesova emigrated from Russia, and through stays of various lengths in the Middle East and Africa, she discovered the connection among shifting nationalities and the ethereal possibilities of line. Her drawings develop slowly, reflecting the process of her own assimilation into the current environment. Despite the large scale of her works, the structures remain quiet, demanding a sustained effort on the part of the viewer to understand and penetrate the subtleties of the drawings.
