Description

TAC member Lorrie McClanahan begins her paintings with photographs of people gathered at landmarks. However, in these works the site reference has been removed, so the subjects appear to be gazing pointedly at an abstract background. The viewer is now in the position of guessing what vision is so fascinating to all these people. The subjects, divorced from their surroundings, become the focus of the painting, and yet they remain mysteriously focused elsewhere.

Information from the venue.

Beer Tasting at Kindred Spirits "He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us, he's filled us up with cheer! Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer..." I have my beer drinking song ready. Do you? More info
