I WILL SAY THIS, FT WORTH IS NOT AS FANCY AS DALLAS IS WHILE THE WORD PRETENTION IS THE DALLAS PSYCHIE, AND DEALING WITH ART AND ARTIST, AT LEAST IN FT WORTH, THEY HAVE NICE PEOPLE I WILL BUY SOME ART FROM AND FIND THEM LATER TO BE THE SAME KIND OF SINCERE PEOPLE I MET IN THE BEGINNING, SO THIS EVENT IS PRETTY PROMISING, SINCE I DO KNOW A COUPLE OF THE ARTIST HERE, WHILE THE DRIVE FROM DALLAS TO FT WORTH IS A WHOLE DIFFRENT STORY, WAIT I COULD CATCH THE TRAIN AT UNION STATION IN DALLAS AND RIDE TO FT WORTH TO SEE MORE ART EVENTS..OK LETS GO...UNTIL THEN ALEXANDER TROUP HISTORIAN.

Alexander Troup is a <a href="http://www.dallasartsrevue.com/SSiT/22aModernH.shtml">well known</a> artist, <a href="http://www.dallasobserver.com/1998-10-08/news/trash-heap-of-history/">archaeology buff</a>, and <a href="http://myweb.wvnet.edu/~jelkins/lp-2001/hill.html">collector</a> of Dallas memorabilia and history. I'm glad he has joined the Pegasus News community!

I do wish he'd stop yelling, though.

It is hard to give credence to the notion that someone is a historian when grammar, and forming proper paragraphs isn't an issue. Call me old fashioned. Perhaps it is a matter of age and just not being Internet savvy. That's fine too, as long as there is no expectation of being taken seriously.

Travis, thanks for the wordsmith follow up, while I am an old pop baby, t.v. was my drug and playing anything,in perfect pitch, we are not all as well trained an Travis then again, Travis is a noble name as with gramer, spelling and paragraphs, I am a lost blind cannidate for the slow school for perfect readers, but your advice is well taken and I am forgetfull if a historian should recall, or waste time, then again what can you recall about this place called Dallas in time and space, with out the pissing game until them, just call me Alex.

AT, I probably take such things a bit too seriously, so no worries from me.

And my aplology to P. Lishin, yelling is a D.N.A particle I had inherited from my, both New York families, who married smart Southern Women, I will act and speak more abtuse next time, besides is this a charater contest or a spelling b. Alexander T.

And thank you for your introduction of what I am doing here, now lets all attend the Big Tut event after Big Tex has drained us of our money, or cut your losses one old Arts District for a new one with new people, so we can have some new fun, see you all there when Big Tut comes to the D.M.A, besides a D.N.A cruse might be in waiting for the Mayor and his new hotel bill, until then A.T...noted D.N.A Historian.

Makes you wonder if there's a market for "Stand Up Historians" - you know, information as entertainment as opposed the trivial showbiz MSM passes for info. It'd make a helluva a free mic night somewhere.

I once upon a time I did at flykiller events, and to do free mic events for about ten years while attending and baby sitting, the Dallas Opera in the mid 1980s, Dallas is and was and will continue to be its own Universe, while theatre could, but wont go beyond the Trinity..... I am afraid to say in this comment, while stand up historians....I was told were far and few in the days of Mark Twain and not so long ago with A.C Greene, who did have their day...and such was that History Train, which should be about about the present moment and who we once were from the side effects and events.... I come to realize maybe we are to realize a new format here for 2008. then again the Oral historian and the humorist have a lot in commmon with fool and thesbians, and maybe I am fool enough to go this far to say, thank you for the complement...now lets find out who can cast a light as the stand up Historian for 2008. Alexander Troup, Historian...

Oh by the way, I want to thank Thersa Gubbins for her support on this intresting train of events, that may trim down how we observe the Metroplex, on foot then into a box, while I would also like to give complement to the Dallas Arts Review,J.R.Compton, Dallas Morning News, the Observer,Dallas Public Library, and A Number of other instutions that have made me realize, what we do say and hear, can have future meaning....maybe.... some day and So on that note, I hope I can serve some kind of venue that has cultural humor and colorful meaning, that may or may not mean anything..... and continue to archive my comments to the days that will have .....moments, until then Alexander Troup,....p.s Oh Travis what is that thing your smoking, that looks nasty you might catch your hair on fire.....

Ha! AT it is actually a stick that I found at Cedar Hill State Park...it resembled a particular artifact so much, I couldn't resist taking a picture.

And it was a good time, when it all began, the 70s, the Wild West of the last 25 years of the 20th century, FRANK WE ALL HAVE TO PLAY A TUNE FROM TIME TO TIME,my tune was can it be right....well what wrong with being right....and as I was telling the latest species who smokes his hair T. Rex, We are on the edge of an old Iceburg, and it may be melting fast.....so here is to bottled water and Dr Strange love, for water is the essence for man to survive, while I love the bomb, until then Alexander Troup...H..
