alexander troup, says:
I began my first urban recovery and exstraction of artifacts from this area when they plowed up a parking lot in 1989, and found civil war artifacts from the Federal Calvary Ca.1867, indicating this was the first freedmantown for the early town of Dallas and when Ross ave existed as a wagon road..., and have worked on the site since or on up to 2007...
This is a unique event for the African Amercian Comunity to realize and they should attend such, to know....Dallas does care and so on that note..good follow up..A/T. Urban Historian and Archaeologist.
