Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
Journalist Borat Sagdiyev leaves his native Kazakhstan to travel to America to make a documentary. As he zigzags across the nation, Borat meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences. His backward behavior generates strong reactions around him, exposing prejudices and hypocrisies in American culture. In some cases, Borat's interview subjects embrace his outrageous views on race and sex by agreeing with him, while others attempt to offer a patriotic lesson in Western values.

I wiish I had time to write a full review, 'cos there's lots to say: But I've gotta say that even though I laughed my ass off a few times, I was pretty disappointed in the Borat movie, given the hype and the hyperbole in the reviews I read.
I'm convinced that everybody making a big deal out of the movie never saw the HBO series. Not much in the movie that topped the better Borat sketches in Da Ali G show. And trying to pad together a plot did no favors.
The movie definitely was a case where the previews gave up too much. Anybody remember the days when the early previews kept things close to the vest, and only after the first couple weeks did the best gags make the trailer?
Don't get me wrong -- was a thoroughly enjoyable 90 minutes. But the best movie of the year? http://www.metacritic.com/film/ Maybe, if you think that it's been a lousy year (early millennium) for film. A funny movie sure, but I don't think it passes the "25 viewings of Spinal Tap and still finding nuance" test.
Give me more of this, without a hamhanded Hollywood plot (sure, he didn't eat the chicken!), and find a new business model. I'd rather sit home and watch YouTube clips like this on my TV:

Cohen's a genius. But it isn't this movie that proves it.

I just want to say I thought the movie was great.Borat is innocent in his mind, He came to learn about america and our culture in hopes to bring it back to his country.I was only offended by the way people in our country acted,Actually I was not offended by them I was embaressed for them. Instead of making jackasses out of themselves they should have tried to help him understand what we do and why we do it.
