Even though the Rangers lost 7-3, the crowd had a rockin' time and Independent George was all smiles after the gig. Drummer Marty Hanan (sunglasses) finally gets in a photo, too.

ARLINGTON — The Texas Rangers took it on the chin against the Red Sox on opening day, unfortunately. But Rangers play-by-play man Josh Lewin and his band Independent George kicked off the team's post game concert series with a bang. For 2006, the Rangers have fenced off a new area outside of the third base side of the ballpark called The Patio, which will host shows throughout the season.
