Texas 10 Under 20 Champ
Landon Austin, of Episcopal School of Dallas, named top young artist in the state at Dallas Guitar show.
DALLAS A finalist in the past, Landon Austin was named grand champion of the third annual Texas 10 Under 20 Rising Star Showcase Sunday at the Dallas guitar show.

The Texas 10 Under 20 contest features musicians aged 20 or younger competing in the following categories in either Austin or Dallas, for the chance to win thousands of dollars in prizes:
Rock/Alternative/Metal
Pop/Hip Hop
Country/Folk/Blues
Singer/Songwriter
Other
The grand prize winners from the two regions are determined by a panel of industry judges and audience applause. Landon Austin will get to perform at Taste Addison 2006, while the Austin winner (to be determined April 29) will perform at the Old Pecan Street Arts Festival. Both winners will receive recording studio time, and each winner receives a $1,000 music education grant for their school, courtesy of the Texas Music Project.

Yeah, Maren is certainly talented. This is off the top of my head, sorry, but I believe she's been in the finals of the 10 Under 20 contest all three years?
