Big changes for Snider Plaza?
The DMN is running a feature on plans to renovate and possibly restructure the Snider Plaza shopping center. The natural tension faced by any development plan is how to improve the Park Cities shopping center without losing the "mom and pop" feel that makes it so charming. One of the suggestions that is already picking up steam aims to turn the parking lot into a park. However, it is uncertain how or when any plans to renovate the center would be enacted. The University Park Planning and Zoning Commission will not even begin considering details of any proposed development until early 2007.
