Family and friends chip in to send Oak Cliff Midget football and cheer/dance teams to Florida

Oak Cliff 49ers celebrate their successful season with a cake.
The Oak Cliff 49ers Midget, Jr. Midget football & Midget cheer/dance teams are headed to Orlando to compete in the 2006 Pop Warner National Championships. Each team advanced by winning the regional competition in Beaumont on Thanksgiving weekend. The teams have raised about $40,000 from family, friends and others for the trip.
Good luck, everyone, that's a lot of work to raise that kind of cash for a trip for these kids. You can follow the teams' journey on the Pop Warner site linked above.
