Four Denton red light cameras cost drivers $423,000 in six months
Traffic accidents have gone down at those intersections, too.
Critics of red light cameras say traffic accidents can increase at those intersections. But the Denton Record-Chronicle reports that accidents have gone down at four intersections, which have cost drivers almost half a million dollars in the past six months.
It's not as if anti-red light people are making stuff up. But Denton seems to have hit on a working formula.
The four red light cameras are at the intersection of:
- Mayhill Road and Spencer Road
- Woodrow Lane and Shady Oaks Drive
- Hickory Street and Bell Avenue
- Carroll Boulevard and Oak Street
