Grapevine-Colleyville schools recognized for excellence by Texas Monthly
Texas Monthly recently published a list of 574 high-performing schools in the state. As identified by the National Center for Educational Accountability (formerly 'Just for the Kids'), a research group at the University of Texas at Austin, the following Grapevine-Colleyville schools made the cut:
Glenhope Elementary
Heritage Elementary
Colleyville Middle
Colleyville Heritage High
Grapevine High
According to Texas Monthy, the NCEA's criteria considers all the essential subjects: reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. A school's performance in these areas, compared alongside the demographic makeup of the student body, determines whether or not the school is deemed “higher performing.”
