Red light cameras to be installed at Marsh & Frankford
City Council members continue discussion on their usage
Big Brother arrives in Dallas this weekend as testing of red light traffic cams begins in three locations on Saturday.
The intersection of Marsh Lane at Frankford Road is slated for traffic cam installation following successful completion of the testing stage; citations may be issued to those photographed running red lights at this location beginning as early as Jan. 9.

Magnus Stjernstrom, says:
It would be much smarter to install them on the lights the east. (Vail/Frankford). That's where all the crashes happen. Oh well, just a way for them to make more money I guess since the Frankford/Marsh cross-section is busier.

Todd Maternowski, says:
Usually I'm opposed to traffic cameras, but that intersection has got to be one of the worst accident-prone zones in all of DFW. Half the time, you can't get through because of the multiple fire trucks and ambulances blocking the way after some rocket scientist tried to run a left turn-only red 'cause he couldn't wait 45 more seconds to get to Wal-mart... cameras are waaay overdue there.
