Oak Cliff among nation’s top emerging ‘gay ghettos’
Residents confirm that the neighborhood is, indeed, fabulous.
GayGhettos.com, in collaboration with GayRealEstate.com, has announced its inaugural list of the nation’s top up-and-coming “gay ghettos.” Topping this list in the Southeastern US is the community of Oak Cliff.
Says GayRealEstate.com:
Stroll through Oak Cliff and you'll see what old Dallas may have looked a lot like. About half of all businesses are gay-owned.
The term 'gay ghetto', which sounds disparaging at first, actually refers to pockets of revitalization within larger metropolitan cities. These gay ghettos, (also known as gay villages or 'gay-borhoods') are labeled as affordable areas ripe for investment and community building.

Mr. Jones: Once again you show your diversity in reporting. My only question is did you have to do any field research for this article?
