NPR featured Lieutenant Colonel Eric Kruger in an article on Monday. Lt. Col. Kruger, brother of popular Dallas musician Kristy Kruger, was killed by a roadside bomb on November 2, while serving in Iraq. NPR writes:

Lt. Col. Eric Kruger came from a long line of military officers. His great-grandfather served in World War I. Kruger himself spent half his life in the Army. Friends and colleagues say the 40-year-old father of four made his family part of the military, and made the military part of his family.
