Interview: Carter Albrecht from Sorta, Sparrows

This Friday at the Granada Theater, Sorta is playing with Salim Nourallah and the Noise and the Heathens out of Austin. To gear up for what will be an amazing look at a few of DFW's most talented artists, Pegasus News was able to catch up with Carter Albrecht from Sorta and Salim. Over the next two days we will be featuring interviews with each of these local heavy hitters. So I bring you what is creatively titled: Part 1 of 2.

Sorta has been around and rocking since 2000 and most recently added Dallas music fixture Chris Holt to the band's already stellar lineup. Carter Albrecht, who admittedly plays a little bit of everything in the band (except for the drums), stopped by our offices to provide us with our first interview with the band.

It is always an amazing experience to hear about a band from one of the members himself. What is even more awe inspiring is to hear it from someone with so much experience in the Dallas music scene. Carter has been playing shows in the area for more than 12 years and in this interview one can sense a sort of familiarity and wisdom that beginning artists simply cannot possess. During the interview Carter was joined by Sorta's manager, Carrie Garcia, who provided some interesting insights from the perspective of someone outside the band itself.
