University Park City Council approves advertising kiosks
People are bombarded with thousands of advertising images a day, but apparently the University Park City Council and Scott Reynolds of Reynolds Outdoor do not seem to think that's quite enough. In the December 5th city council meeting the council approved plans to place 10 advertising kiosks in and around University Park retail areas. When I called the city council building to find out if the advertisements would be local or national, the City Secretary stated they had not yet made a decision. There is now debate between shop owners, the council and community members whether the kiosks will be economically beneficial to the area, or whether it will be just another advertising eyesore that people will just block out.

hakoop, says:
These things are an eye sore everywhere. In Dallas they are ugly. Worse, they can't sell them. They have CBS logos on them and the ads are for CBS products. So no one can even be making any money.
Stoopid.
