McKinney North High School yearbook is a finalist for national award
The McKinney North High School yearbook, Reflections, has been selected as a Columbia Scholastic Press Association, (CSPA) Crown Award finalist. The yearbook is one of only eight finalists selected from the state.
More than 1,800 yearbooks published during the 2005-2006 academic school year were eligible for the 2007 CSPA Crown Award program and only 50 entries were selected as finalists.
A total 57 magazines, 61 newspapers and 50 yearbooks will be presented in the 2007 Crown Awards. Crown Award finalists are guaranteed to receive either a Gold or Silver Crown Award during ceremonies scheduled for March 2007.

The CSPA is an international student press association uniting student journalists and faculty advisers at schools and colleges through educational conferences, idea exchanges and award programs.
The McKinney North High School journalism and communications department is under the direction of Rebecca Plumley, Communications Department Chair and adviser for Reflections and Polaris, the McKinney North High School student newspaper.
