Metrognome Collective shut down by fire marshall

2

Metrognome Collective

— Today, on their website, the founders of the Metrognome Collective announced that the venue had been shut down by the Fire Marshall. The building has been operating without a certificate of occupancy, and the first inspector that came out noted many code violations.

They say that it will be a long time before they can reopen, and of the three shows currently scheduled, two are canceled. Their first anniversary show featuring Wounded Infidel, Lazer, Eat Avery’s bones, The Maelstrom and Frank Hejl will be moved to another venue, likely the Wreck Room or the Black Dog.

And yes, we did just say first anniversary and no certificate of occupancy.
