McKinney ISD has reached a settlement with the former principal, and a decision regarding lead assistant principal of McKinney North High School that will keep either from returning to the school. Both were removed from their positions at McKinney North for their part in the highly publicized cheerleading scandal earlier this year.

Based on the settlement, the school's former principal, Linda Theret, will be paid her full salary through October 1st of next year.

The school's former lead assistant principal, Richard Brunner, will not have his contract renewed after this school year. However, no official settlement has been worked out.
