Fort Worth outgrowing City Hall

Email Print Tell us your story Comment

Fort Worth government will soon outgrow the space in the current City Hall at 1000 Throckmorton Street. As a result, the city is putting together a consultants report regarding how much additional office space will be needed and how much that space will cost. Yet, regardless of what the report says, there will be a debate as to what the best solution for an outdated City Hall will be. The options include renovating the old City Hall, building a new City Hall, allowing some City Hall offices to be located in other buildings, and turning the old post office at 251 W. Lancaster Ave into a new City Hall. A January 8th public hearing on the issue is currently scheduled.
