Law Reviewers hand out 2006 Golden Gavel Awards for best food
The Law Reviewers have announced the winners of the second annual Golden Gavel Awards for best local food. Here is the list of winners:
Best Hot Dog: The Angry Dog
Best Fried Hot Dog: Jalepeno-cheese corn dogs from Fletcher's at the State Fair
Best Sausage You Have To Cook Yourself: Jimmy's Italian Food Store
Best Sausage, Already Cooked: Peggy Sue BBQ
Best Sausage With A Cool Latin Name: Chorizo with eggs at Angela's
Best Breakfast Meat Dish: Brisket Benedict at Bread Winner's
Best Steak: Three Forks
Best Burger: Wingfield's
Best Chicken (non-fried): Rosemary garlic chicken at Ali Baba's
Best Duck: Zoom
Best Wild Game: Grilled quail at Rafa's
Best Lamb: Shish kabob at Chaat Cafe
Best Pig: Pig Sandwich at Chip's
Best Tofu: Just kidding
Best Raw Fish: Bluefish
Best Cooked Fish: Sea bass at Kitchen 1924
