Raytheon sells Dallas office to Hawker Beechcraft

— The deal includes Raytheon Aircraft facilities and other assets in Dallas, Wichita and Salina, Kansas, and Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as some network operations across the United States, United Kingdom and Mexico.

The Waltham, Mass.-based defense contractor said it expects its after-tax profit to be $2.5 billion.

Raytheon (NYSE:RTN) said in July that it was reviewing strategic alternatives for Raytheon Aircraft Co., a maker of business and special-mission aircraft as well as aviation products and services. Raytheon Aircraft has more than 8,500 employees and about 100 authorized service centers around the world, including many in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Hawker Beechcraft is a new company formed by GS Capital Partners, an affiliate of New York-based investment banking firm Goldman Sachs, and Toronto-based investment firm Onex Partners.
