No one has been arrested yet, but police are waiting for a medical examiner to find out what caused the death of a newborn found in the trash bin at an apartment complex in a neighborhood between Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and White Rock Lake on Saturday night. The baby was pronounced dead at that hospital.
Just sad how often this happens, take a look at similar news from elsewhere from just the past few days.

not to mean this isn't sad... but this isn't "near" white rock lake any more than it's "near" preston hollow. how about "vickery meadows trash bin" or "trash bin near lake highlands." thanks again blair, im sure it all looks the same from collin county.

Geography has nothing to do with the sadness. The reason White Rock Lake was singled out is because this story is for people near that neighborhood. It is not an indictment of the community there, which is how I think you're incorrectly reading this.
If an abandoned baby was found in the Stonebriar neighborhood in Frisco it would be sad, if it were in Preston Hollow it would be sad, if it were in Richie Rich's house it would be sad. Anyone who leaves a baby in a trash bin has no morals, doesn't matter where it is.

it does matter. you come off as a lazy journalist who's foreign to the area. ever been to the lake? it's not vickery meadows.
ps read the first 6 words of my first post again. happy new year

Ah, understand now and we're making the neighborhood change. Yes, I have been to White Rock Lake and surrounding neighborhoods many, many times. We were very close to moving there, believe it or not. Thanks for reading.

DMN has an update, although they still think the baby was found near WHR.
