The Edge Morning Show Announced

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (8)

Looks like the powers-that-be over at The Edge decided on a natioinally syndicated morning show team rather than re-staffing locally....hmmm...Beginning Tuesday, February 14th Lex & Terry will host the morning slot.

Below is lifted right off their website

"The Lex & Terry Show, a nationally syndicated morning radio program, delivers a unique blend of lifestyle advice, humor and on-air community to men 18-49. Irreverent hosts Lex Staley and Terry Jaymes have grown the show in four short years from a single market in Jacksonville, Fla., into a thriving network spanning more than 25 cities. The program’s formula, which has hit a chord with men seeking lifestyle advice and camaraderie, has galvanized a loyal fan base that propels the show’s continued growth."

"As successful entertainers and businessmen, Lex and Terry have developed a proven strategy to penetrate new, often challenging markets and generate profits for affiliates. By focusing on localized content, network-wide audience involvement and top quality production, The Lex & Terry Show combines the best aspects of local and nationally syndicated programming. In addition, both hosts commit considerable effort to community and charitable activities throughout the affiliate markets."

"The show’s ability to rapidly turn around a ratings-deprived station has made them an especially attractive buy in many markets. The Lex & Terry Show has delivered strong returns for affiliates across the country, from Florida to the state of Washington."

This should be interesting to watch...

I thought the exact same thing Joel. It sounds dreadful...but then again I'm not in their desired age range and/or gender...nor am I a "man seeking lifestyle advice and camaraderie"...I wish they would have kept it local...oh well, we'll see...

Actually, weren't they the replacement when Bo and Jim weren't renewed on the (old) Q102?

Yup. They were.

Deja vu all over again.

"a proven strategy to penetrate new, often challenging markets"

That could get you locked up, under the wrong circumstances.

I'm just sick of national shows. When I want to listen to fun talk radio, I usually hit 105.3FM, but now they have David Lee Roth in the morning, and he's hell on the ears.

I'd like to see 105.3 pick up Jagger. That way, Jagger would run right up into Pugs & Kelly. 2 great local shows.

Local or national, it's going to suck (and we already know these two schmoes do). Their demo is listening to the Ticket or podcasts, anyway. Rots of ruck.

Well if this morning's brilliant deduction that all of the gorgeous women in Dallas are transplants is an indication of their brainsize.....
