Townes Van Zandt: The Movie
Recently an independent film came out chronicling the life of legendary singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. Other songwriters such as Lyle Lovett, Joe Ely, and Willie Nelson appear in the film to talk about what impact the Ft. Worth native had on their own writing.
The Townes Van Zandt movie will be begin playing at the Angelika Theater in Dallas on March 10th.

It's a great film ... definitely worth a trip to see it in the theatre. And assuming the date holds, it's due out on DVD mid-March.

So itll be released on DVD at the same time its playing at the Angelika? I'd still rather see it on the big screen. I'm a total sucker for that in theater movie magic.
