Frank Campagna knows art, both as an amazing artist himself, and his eye for other talent. Frank's recently opened gallery, Kettle Art has proven to be a perfect place to showcase some of the finest and most talented artists, painters, photographers and performance artists this town has seen.

Kettle Art's first photographic exhibition is a not-to-miss in that it features work from local photographers, some of it featuring Deep Ellum, local musicians and more:

Sil Azevedo is a photographer based in Dallas, Texas, specializing in portraits and contemporary wedding photography. Sil combines photojournalism and fine arts photography to produce memorable images. His background as an architect and award-winning designer comes through in the elegant composition of his photographs. For the Lense One Exhibition, Sil Azevedo presents pieces from various collections focusing on light and reflections in everyday scenes, from city lights to natures landscapes.

James Bland (who happens to be one of my favorite rock star photographers) was perhaps the first to recognize and shoot Deep Ellum's creative energy. His photos reflect the area during the mid-eighties Theater Gallery era with images of Rigor Mortis 20 years before their recent comeback, the Sleepy Heroes with a baby faced Rhett Miller and Reverend Horton Heat - prior to his first tatoo.

Christopher Ford will show large scale studies of light and motion in this debut exhibition. You'll be quick to notice his work is timeless and full of intrigue.

Frank Lopez will present his work created with the original / old school pinhole camera. His pictures were shot with the timelapse process and plenty of patience all over the world.

Today is one of the last 3 days to catch the Lense One Exhibition, so don't dawdle! Gallery hours are Thursdays through Saturdays, 8:00 PM until 10:00 PM or by appointment by calling 214.573.7622. Kettle Art is located at 2714 Elm in Deep Ellum
